Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer (L3) who will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise-level network infrastructure. The candidate must have strong hands-on experience in routing, switching, firewall, VPN, WAN, LAN, wireless, and network security, along with the ability to handle escalated (L3) issues and provide long-term solutions.
The Network Engineer L3 will work closely with internal IT teams, security teams, vendors, and customers to ensure high availability, performance, and security of network systems.
Job Description – Network Engineer L3
Key Responsibilities
- Handle L3 escalation support for complex network issues and outages.
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot advanced routing and switching issues in production networks.
- Implement and manage network security solutions including firewall rules, VPNs, and ACLs.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, etc.).
- Manage BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, STP, HSRP/VRRP, NAT, QoS configurations.
- Perform network performance monitoring and capacity planning.
- Configure and troubleshoot site-to-site VPN and remote access VPN.
- Maintain and support wireless networks (Access Points, Controllers).
- Work on network upgrades, migrations, and deployment projects.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for issue resolution.
- Prepare network documentation such as topology diagrams, configuration backups, and SOPs.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call support and provide root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents.
- Automate routine network tasks using scripts/tools (preferred).
Required Skills
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLAN, Subnetting
Expertise in Routing & Switching
Hands-on experience with:
Cisco / Juniper / Fortinet / Palo Alto devices (any preferred)
Good understanding of:
Firewall policies, IDS/IPS, VPN tunnels
Experience with network monitoring tools:
SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix or similar
Knowledge of ITIL process (Incident/Change/Problem management)
